1. On a piece of paper or in a Word document, create a 5-columned RAN chart:

Wonderings

2. Fill in the “What I think I know” before researching.

3. Using www.natgeoed.org/birds-of-paradise , Google, YouTube, etc., find some interesting facts about birds of paradise. Put the information you discover under: “New Facts” or a checkmark beside “Confirmed” or “Misconceptions”.

4. After you’ve filled in your chart, fill in “Wonderings” with any new thoughts and/or questions you have about birds of paradise.
